Wood, metal, drywall, stucco, it's all very strong.

What are these - bricks?

No, tiles, actually subway tiles. Shaped just like bricks though.

Is that what the wall is made of?

Sort of, they cover the wall.

What is this? - scratching at grout-

Grout, it's kind of like cement holding the tiles together. You know, like the cement Dizzy mixes and spreads on Bob the Builder

How did it get there?

The guy squooshed it down and spread it out. Then he wiped it off the tiles so they are clean.
