In which they survive another trip
I am bad for not posting before now- all of the rhythms of our life have been shifting, due to travel, work, toddler lability, teething ... (New Improved- With Molars!!!!!)
Ray and Mika's wedding was lovely in many ways- seeing family and having a chance to be together was great, Nolan took to all of the family - grandma and grandpa, all of the uncles and aunties- very quickly, and still talks about "Ray!!! Mika! Mika!!! Pol! Oh-sa! Connnorrr!" We went on a drive to the Pines park, on Lake Huron, and Nolan really loved the beach. Uncle Conor got a lovely shot of a happy boy running down the beach, and then they climbed a sandy hill and Nolan slid down on his bottom, Again! and Again!!!
My conference in To was pretty good, and the trip home was OK too. Then, last weekend we went to Banff for another conference for me (I am now conferenced out) where Mike and Nolan enjoyed the pool while I was in sessions, and Nolan was successfully "babysat" in a group of under fives across the hall from where we were having dinner. He had a great time, and I had dinner without him for the third time in our lives.
This was a pretty factual catch up post, but as I have been watching Nolans growing individuality- including ability to manipulate, strong food dislikes and likes, particular love of music- with amazement I will have to post more. These little people are so amazing and honest and pure and bright and funny and loveable....
Yes, that is Uncle Conor's pic- he has many truly stunning photos over at www.conorphoto.blogspot.com. A very talented man with a great artistic eye.
